I am an antiracist, trauma informed clinician; an educator; a social justice advocate; a community organizer; intersectional training facilitator; justice, equity, diversity, and a critical thinker.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-R) with over 15 years of experience working with individuals, couples, families, and organizations experiencing changes through trauma, addiction, and life transition; living with disabilities, living in non-monogamous and/or kink relationships, and identify as Queer, Trans, and/or LGBTQIA.
I am a certified EMDR provider, have a Certified Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC), and Post Master’s Certificate: Executive Leadership in Not-For-Profits.
My experience was formed within Social Justice Community Organizing from community clinics, private practice, and community organizations e.g., Gray Panthers, Anti-Violence groups, AIDS Quilt, Harlem United, Guidance Center for Mental Health, Post Graduate Center for Mental Health, Henry Street Settlement House, and TRI Center, The Recovery Center. Additionally, I am a co-founder of Passing Twice: A Place for LBGT people and their allies, Manhattan Stuttering Group, and moderate a panel of Clinicians Who Stutter for International Stuttering Awareness Day.
I believe in the power of healing, intersectional pedagogy, and anti-oppressive treatment approaches. I support validation, forgiveness, connection, and vulnerability. I believe YOU can become your best self, and I am happy to accompany you on that journey.
